DANNY Cowley has been ringing the changes since Huddersfie­ld Town returned to Championsh­ip action following the lockdown.

Against Wigan Athletic, when he was without Fraizer

Campbell and Steve Mounie, he restored Jonathan Hogg and Juninho Bacuna to the starting line-up, played Karlan Grant as the lone striker and shifted Emile Smith Rowe to the left wing. It didn’t work.

Against Nottingham Forest, Cowley brought in Demeaco Duhaney, slotted Andy King into the midfield and positioned Lewis O’Brien on the left while Alex Pritchard played at No.10.

That didn’t work either. At Birmingham, Campbell was restored to the starting line-up, allowing Grant to return to the left.

Emile Smith Rowe was back at No.10 while Elias Kachunga replaced Chris Willock on the right.

King and Pritchard were the two to miss out along with Willock - and the changes paid off spectacula­rly with a welldeserv­ed 3-0 win.

So we dare you Danny Cowley, after that super performanc­e, name an unchanged team!

Yes, there are six games in 18 days to come, but surely the starting XI deserve another go.
