State of America laid bare thanks to trainwreck Trump interview

-

DELUDED Donald Trump declared this week the coronavirus is “under control’ in the States.

The President went as far to say America’s death rate was “lower than the world”.

In an interview, Trump said Covid-19 was well-controlled across the US despite the country currently averaging about 65,000 new cases and 1,000 deaths per day.

“They are dying, that’s true, and it is what it is,” he said.

“But that doesn’t mean we aren’t doing everything we can.

“It’s under control as much as you can control it. This is a horrible plague.”

Citing a series of charts and graphs, the US leader added: “The United States is lowest in numerous categories. We’re lower than the world, than Europe.”

It was a painful, trainwreck of an interview, unsettling to watch as he repeatedly lied about his leadership during the crisis.

Whichever way he cuts it, he and his administration have left America with a catastrophe.

The World Health Organisation reports there have been more than 18,100,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 690,257 deaths.

Of these, America has had 4,629,459 cases, which is a quarter of the global total, and 155,000 deaths which is more than 22% of the total. Yet the States has just 4.2% of the world’s population.

America is continuing to be overwhelmed by Coivd as its egomaniac President puts himself before doing his job.

Whether it be undermining the country’s medical experts, dangerously pushing unproven drugs or boasting about the viewing figures of his White House briefings, the crisis is all about one thing – Trump himself.
