FORMER Huddersfield Town loanee Trevoh Chalobah will be sent out on loan by Chelsea again for the coming season - but not back to the John Smith’s Stadium, the Championship or even elsewhere in England.
The 21-year-old arrived at
Town on transfer deadline day last summer and went on to make 38 appearances for the club.
The midfielder had to endure some stick from the Terriers faithful after some poor performances in the first half of the season. But he looked much more at home once the side switched from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 after bringing in some January recruits and Chalobah ended the season having made an overall positive impression on most Town fans.
He is now reportedly now on the verge of completing a seasonlong loan to newly-promoted French top-flight side Lorient.
Lorient finished top of the table in a truncated Ligue 2 season last year, earning them promotion to the top flight of French football.
The Ligue 1 season is set to get under way this weekend, with Lorient beginning their campaign at home to Strasbourg on Sunday afternoon.
Had Chalobah come back into the Championship for another season, he would have faced the prospect of going headto-head with his brother Nathaniel, who plays for newlyrelegated Watford.
