Live music to have its day in the sun again
THE Cribs will be headlining a huge outdoor day of music at The Piece Hall next summer.
The Wakefield brothers will be playing the Halifax venue on Sunday, June 29 in 2021. FutureSound is behind the event which forms the Live at The Piece Hall series.
Other shows will be coming from the Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers and The Specials. The 2020 Live at The Piece Hall series was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic with The Piece Hall Trust determined to enable fans to experience the thrill of live music at the iconic venue next year.
Nicky Chance Thompson DL, CEO of The Piece Hall Trust, said: “We are delighted to announce that the Piece Hall is hosting what will be an exciting night of fantastic music with a great atmosphere.
“The Cribs have proud Yorkshire origins and we’re sure that the event will create a buzz across the Calderdale area and beyond as we again showcase the best of what the region and its talented artists have to offer.
“Thank you to FutureSound who secured the booking, which will help us continue to provide the quality entertainment that The Piece Hall is renowned for. We cannot wait to welcome dedicated music fans to join us for our Live at the Piece Hall shows in 2021.”
