SIMON WOOLFORD has admitted that his time at Huddersfield Giants is coming to a close and that he expects to be back in Australia for the start of the 2021 season.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s game against St Helens, the Giants head coach said: “At this stage, if I was a betting man, I would probably say I will be going home.

“I would like to finish the job I started, that’s the preference, but at this stage, that probably won’t happen.

“When I took this job on, I anticipated it would be a three or four year job. I’ve been here just over two years now and I feel like we’ve made a lot of inroads. When I first got here the club were looking at relegation but we had a nice run of games when I got here in 2018.

“Last year we were cut down by injuries and it was a tough year but if you look at our squad now, all things being equal, it’s a squad that can compete for trophies.”
