WE CAN BOUNCE BACK – AND FAST

TOFFOLO BACKS TOWN TO PUT BOURNEMOUTH PAIN FIRMLY BEHIND THEM TOMORROW NIGHT

- By RICKY CHARLESWORTH

HARRY TOFFOLO insists the relentless nature of the Championship can only be a good thing for Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers picked up two home wins in a week after impressively seeing off QPR and then Sheffield Wednesday.

But they came crashing back down to Earth on Saturday, receiving a heavy defeat at the hands of Bournemouth.

The Cherries ran out comprehensive 5-0 winners and Toffolo pulled no punches when assessing the defeat.

The full-back, who donned the armband in the absence of both Christopher Schindler and Jonathan Hogg, said the fact Town are back in action tomorrow at Coventry presents the perfect opportunity to bounce straight back.

“It hurts massively,” Toffolo said. “To concede five goals is unacceptable and we know that.

“We realise that there’s a lot more hard work to be done.

“It’s important that we learn from this game, take the negatives and turn them into positives because we’ve got another game on Wednesday.

“We’re looking forward to that game and we have to use the momentum we had before this game to pick up a win and three points at Coventry.”

Town’s sloppiness in defence came to haunt them once more – but Toffolo insists that is par for the course when you try and play the style of football that Town do.

He added: “It’s frustrating but when you want to play out you have to make a decision and manage the game better.

“But we believe in what we’re doing, and we’ve seen so many goals we’ve scored this season building from the back.

“We’ve got a lot of learning to do and I’m sure the manager’s going to get us working hard looking over the game.”
