BARRY Sheerman says he is very angry because an ex MP from Colne Valley has come into Huddersfield to protest over problems with a suspended teacher.

He is on record as saying they had come on his patch. Is the man as stupid as he sounds?...the answer is yes.

Firstly he doesn’t own any patch in our town.

Secondly he cannot stop people demonstrating, whether rightly or wrongly.

Thirdly, is he trying to stem free speech?

Sheerman has gone way too far this time. Let me remind him. He is the one who is in Huddersfield only by grace of misguided voters.

I hope in the next election an independent Labour candidate steps in and gets rid of this stupid man.

Pandor and Sheerman really ought to form a comedy duo and go on the stage... stagecoach out of here.

HANDS off Geoffrey Brooking! I agree that his letters have more than a whiff of spoof about them, but only because they contain an unusual amount of religious fervour and joyous optimism.

He does not choose to contradict, criticise or mock other correspondents, and his letters are free from the sort of personal comments and downright unpleasantness so often encountered on this page.

They are a gentle reminder that everyone is entitled to an opinion, however it may differ from mainstream views, and to have their views respected, even by those who disagree with them.

Don’t distract us from our truth

CONGRATULATIONS to Johnson apologist Mr Gill for the exuberant and excessive use of the exclamation mark in his fatuous attempt to defend this corrupt and woeful Conservative government.

This is in no way support for dinosaur Corbyn, as his ineptitude facilitated both the disaster of Brexit and the election of Bozo the clown.

However to rely on the theoretical election of Corbyn as a deflection from the dreadful record of this government is pathetic.
