Rarmani enjoying his steep learning curve with Town

And short of any fitness concerns, the back four in front of him more or less picks itself.

Juninho Bacuna’s positional flexibility also came in handy against Coventry City, who play a similar shape to Barnsley’s 3-4-3 even if there is a big difference in approach between the two sides.

That could mean he appears at the point of a diamond again rather than playing on the left wing as he did against Watford.

Alex Pritchard offers an alternative in midfield if Corberan wants to rest Bacuna or move him into a less advanced role, perhaps in place of Carel Eiting.

Brahima Diarra was intriguingly only given 30 minutes for the B team on Tuesday afternoon - does that suggest there might be a place on the bench for him?

Town are still short on strikers with Danny Ward likely to return after the new year, so Fraizer

Campbell will almost certainly start. If it is two up top we’d expect Isaac Mbenza to continue alongside him.

RARMANI Edmonds-Green says he couldn’t wish for better players to learn from at Huddersfield Town.

The centre-half has started the last four games for the Terriers after injuries to skipper Christopher Schindler and Richard Stearman.

He has formed a fledgling partnership with Naby Sarr and together the duo have helped the team achieve three clean sheets in those four outings.

Speaking ahead of today’s derby at Barnsley, Edmonds-Green says it is beneficial for him to have such experienced players on hand to get sage advice from.

“I’ve been working with Schindy for four years and we have a good relationship,” said Edmonds-Green.

“If I feel like I have to talk to him I can go to him and have that conversation, I don’t feel embarrassed.

“Stears helps me all the time and just makes me feel ready.

“And I’m forming a good relationship with Naby by playing week in, week out. I think we’ve got a good bond. We sit next to each other in the changing room and we’re always talking in the dressing room so the bond was there before we played together and now it’s getting stronger.

“They all tell me to stay humble, keep level-headed and do what I can do. Outside of football they can trust me, they know that.

“It’s just helpful everything they do for me.”

Edmonds-Green, 21, believes the trust that boss Carlos Corberan places in his players allows them to express their freedom.

And he says that the confidence in the team is growing ahead of a busy festive period. He added: “Carlos has brought a lot of confidence to me because he knows what I can do and he tells me to enjoy myself when I’m playing.

“I’d say the confidence in the team is growing, but we like to stay level-headed and focus on each game as it comes, and not look too far forward.

“There’s a confidence but we don’t want to overstep the boundaries.”
