JUST GLORIOUS!

RESTAURANTS AND PUBS FULLY BOOKED FOR WEEKEND OF SUN

-

people warm, we have the terrace and the parking, so we tick a lot of boxes that people want to have ticked.

“We have had way over 1,000 people since we reopened and Saturday and Sunday are fully booked.

“And I know 10 of our competitors including The Scullery in Huddersfield, The Woodman at Thunderbridge and Devour, Holmfirth are all fully booked too.

“If you have not booked you are not getting in this weekend.

“The key thing is that we have over 10,000 people on our email database and more than that on our Facebook and Instagram accounts so our loyalty levels are through the roof. And I think we have all been lucky with the weather.”

The Foresters at Honley is another popular pub with its bar snacks menu provided by The Blue Tiger Asian Fusion Restaurant.

A spokesman said: “It’s been really busy so far and everyone has been well-behaved.

“I think this weekend will be the same, we don’t do bookings, it’s first come, first served.”

And the Beaumont Arms at Kirkheaton has been another pub/restaurant that has come back stronger than ever post-lockdown.

It had a mind-blowing 100 tables or so pressed into use at its peak on Monday and had to turn some revellers away.

Jordan Lee, wedding and events manager at The Woodman Inn, near Shepley, said: “It’s exciting. We reopen on Friday.

“Things are absolutely fantastic and we are not taking any more bookings for this weekend due to the high demand.

“The phone has not stopped ringing all week, it’s just absolutely mental.

“And with the addition of The Garden Room it has just gone viral.”
