The wedding’s ON: Bosses reveal hotel will open in summer
DURKER Roods Hotel has announced it will be reopening in June after couples hoping to get married there were left fearing the worst.
The Meltham wedding venue sparked panic among brides and grooms when its website was taken down and phone number disconnected.
One concerned mother of a bride contacted The Examiner’s sister website YorkshireLive this week to say her daughter was due to get married in October this year but could no longer get in touch with the wedding planner and there was no way of contacting anyone associated with the venue.
But now an announcement has been posted on the Durker Roods Hotel Facebook page assuring couples the venue will be back open in June and providing a contact email address.
The post reads: “UPDATE. We have been having major issues with our IT and service provider. Please accept our sincere apologies for any upset or confusion this may have caused.
“The good news is the hotel will be reopening in June, if you have any enquiries, please contact sam@ bigdaywedding.co.uk.”
