NOTTINGHAM Forest boss Chris Hughton will make a late call on the fitness of Sammy Ameobi ahead of today’s clash with Huddersfield Town at the City Ground.

The winger was expected to be involved in training on Thursday but didn’t return from injury, however, Tobias Figueiredo has made a return to the training pitch and could be in contention for a place in the squad.

“We will wait on Sammy until tomorrow, we hoped that he would train today but he didn’t train,” said Hughton, whose side sit mid-table, 10 points clear of the relegations zone. “Tobi did train today and he will train tomorrow, so it will be a decision on whether to include him for Saturday.

“The only two others out are Samba Sow, he has a slight injury, and Harry Arter is not back training yet.

“I am delighted [with the recent form] and probably we have been more resolute away from home and had some tough fixtures, but in recent games the QPR one pleased me the most. To be able to score three goals, which is what we have found difficult, at home was hugely pleasing.”
