HOW TOWN RATED

that goal and once again, the worry kicked in. Nobody has dropped more points from winning positions than Town this season.

And that’s where you find the most pleasing aspect of the entire performance. Town were disciplined, well-drilled and ensured Ryan Schofield was called into action only minimally, dispelling a criticism we have often had of this side’s inability to stand up to that kind of pressure.

Corberan ruled after the game that there is ‘no chance’ Town are now already safe, and it’s absolutely right that he and his players continue to hold on to that mentality over the coming games.

past couple of weeks that the league table can quickly turn against you, and football does have a tendency to throw up ridiculous scenarios out of nowhere.

But the reality is that it could be enough for Town to be safe, especially with Rotherham losing 1-0 at home to Birmingham yesterday thanks to an 88th-minute strike.

HAD a comfortable afternoon with Forest presenting little attacking threat until they were 2-0 down. Made a decent save 18 minutes from time ............................................................

CAME back into the side after having to sit out the Bournemouth game with his groin injury. Looked a bit impetuous and was fortunate to avoid a second yellow card for a foul out wide ...........................................................

DREADFUL on the ball in the first 20 minutes, though he was hardly the only one. Missed a sitter that would have killed off the game. Defended well though and made a good block to deny an early Forest chance .........

A LITTLE lucky not to be caught out from a Forest cross that they headed straight at Schofield, but really dug in late on to help hold off an increasingly urgent Forest attack ....

ANOTHER wasteful performance from midfield as he was unable to find the final pass on a couple of promising moves, but what a finish that was for the second goal. We’re going to be generous here but why not? That’s why you pick him, after all ................................................................

CONTINUED his overall good form with another aggressive and determined effort. Enjoyed linking up with Toffolo and Holmes up the left ..............................................................

STARTED the game really poorly out on the right wing but looked more at home on the left and grew into the game. Worked really well off the ball and had an impressive second half. We’re balancing out that firsthalf 4 with his second-half 8 to produce a .................................................

SEIZED on a dodgy Forest pass superbly to race through and goal and finish superbly. Great shift off the ball to keep pressing to the very end .............................................................
