Canaries’ eyes still on the prize, says Farke

NORWICH boss Daniel Farke has warned Watford his newlypromoted side are “greedy for the title” as the Hornets look to join the Canaries back in the Premier League next season.

City welcome nearest challengers Watford to Carrow Road tonight in celebratory mood after securing promotion at the weekend, but Farke insists his side still have a major goal to achieve.

Norwich are eight points clear of Watford, who themselves are six points ahead of third-placed Swansea in the battle for the second automatic promotion spot.

Farke, whose side can clinch the title tonight, said on his club’s website: “From today on we are focused again. We know we are facing one of the best sides in the league and we want to give it a go.

“If we can be there with a good result tomorrow than that is great. We are greedy to win the title.

“The main topic is always promotion, but I get the feeling this group of players and this club deserve to crown themselves with some silverware and to be there with back-to-back titles at this level. It would write another chapter of the club’s history.”

Swansea are also in action tonight as they face 10th-placed QPR at the

Liberty Stadium.

Thomas Frank’s Brentford sit fourth in the table, two points behind the Swans but with a game in hand, and they will encounter a Cardiff side on a four-game winless run.

Relegation-battling Derby will be looking to end their three-match losing streak as they travel to Preston, with the Rams currently four points above the drop zone.
