Corberan in a hurry to sort out his squad

THERE’S still one more game left in the Championsh­ip season for Huddersfie­ld Town, but with safety secured last weekend, fans’ focus has already switched firmly to what lays beyond today’s trip to Reading - particular­ly when it comes to the transfer market. The Terriers are expected to be active with both their incomings and outgoings this summer as they look to build a stronger squad than the one that was exposed by injury problems and ended up in a relegation battle this time around. Taken from his Thursday afternoon press conference, here’s all of Carlos Corberan’s answers on the subject of the club’s summer transfer plans...

“EXACTLY. I think as soon as we finish the season these things are going to be fixed and going to be done. It’s very important that every player goes into their holidays knowing exactly what is going to be their future, if it’s going to be here in the club or if it’s not here in the club, and for everyone to be working in the direction they need to be working.”

“I think we are going to analyse in a lot of detail every position we have and every player we have.

“We are going to analyse a lot what was the performanc­e of each player, because for me that’s very important, and at the same time the contract situation of each player.

“And true, we are going to be watching of course the possibilit­y of the market. We’re going to make a mix of everything together and I can’t tell you exactly what is going to be our main targets, but our main target as a club is to make the squad as strong as we can do.”
