WE HAVE TO BE PERFECT

CORBERAN KNOWS TOWN CAN’T AFFORD ANY MISTAKES IF THEY ARE TO TOPPLE CHERRIES

-

CARLOS Corberan admits his Huddersfield Town side will have to be near perfect if they are to claim victory at Bournemouth this afternoon.

The impressive Cherries sit five points clear at the top of the Championship and are unbeaten in their 13 games so far, winning nine of them.

They look destined for a quick return back to the Premier League under Scott Parker.

Town are on a good run themselves, and sit sixth having remained unbeaten in their last four matches.

However, Bournemouth will provide them with their biggest test of the campaign to date - and

Terriers head coach Corberan is under no illusions about the task ahead of his side at the Vitality Stadium.

“Bournemouth are performing really well. They are aggressive in defence and manage well with the ball,” said the Spaniard.

“We need to be perfect in defence and attack.

“The toughest opponents demand your best performance.

“We are going to try and compete in the best way.

“It’s a tough week, but that’s what makes the Championship great.

“It’s a privilege to be in the Championship and play in these types of games.”

The prospect of facing Bournemouth is even more daunting considering the Terriers lost 5-0 there last season.

But Corberan insists he and his squad will not be concerned by that result.

“It’s a completely different game to last season,” he said.

“Our dynamic is totally different. The only thing that is the same is that Bournemouth is a tough opponent.

“They are attacking very well, and that means they can defend very well too.

“That makes it a challenge for our attackers, but we will try to find the harmony in attack to create chances.”
