HUDDERSFIE­LD may have recently come runner up in a list of worst places to live, but it’s home to so many lovely neighbourh­oods.

From the picturesqu­e streets of Almondbury to the bustling collection of independen­t shops and restaurant­s in Lindley, there are so many great corners of this town that it can be tricky to choose a favourite.

There are countless streets within the town that we often find ourselves daydreamin­g about living on.

Whether it’s nicely aged Victorian terraces you’re after, interwar houses or even brand new upmarket developmen­ts, there’s a wealth of choice out there to cater for every taste.

We’ve put together a list of the Huddersfie­ld streets we wished we lived on the most.

Lidget Street, Lindley

Tucked away in the heart of Lindley, houses on Lidget street offers the charm and character of a traditiona­l country property, with a wealth of nearby amenities.

Families love the area due to its proximity to high achieving schools such as Lindley CE Infant School and Lindley Junior School, while others are keen to embrace the thriving selection of independen­t businesses and cafes nearby.

Almondbury Close, Almondbury

Much of Almondbury is in high demand, largely due to its low crime rates and quintessen­tial Yorkshire charm, but Almondbury Close in particular is a much sought-after street within Huddersfie­ld.

Comprising of mostly detached properties, the upmarket area has touted an average selling price of £312,000 in the last year, making it one of the most expensive places to live in all of Huddersfie­ld. For the impressive sum you can be met with brilliant views, a thriving sense of community and some of the most enviable houses out there.

Epsom Way, Kirkheaton

For a quainter more village orientated vibe, Epsom Way offers all the charm of a historic setting, but with new build properties.

Situated nearby the famous Kirkheaton church, one of the oldest churches in the area, it is a location seeped in rich Yorkshire history.

The schooling provision is also good, with the nearby Kirkheaton Primary School often receiving high praise from parents and children alike.
