Deliveroo to join forces with WH Smith
KATIE Price and son Harvey will be appearing at a Halifax nightclub to meet with fans.
Model Katie, 43, formerly known as Jordan, will be appearing alongside her son Harvey, 19, at The Acapulco Club.
They will be there to greet fans on Friday, April 29.
Katie is a glamour model, businesswoman and author.
Her son Harvey was born with Prader-Willi syndrome – he is also partially blind and on the autistic spectrum. Mother and son have appeared in a number of TV documentaries.
Millions have watched Katie Price: Harvey and Me as well as What Harvey Did Next and crowds are expected to head to the Halifax venue to show their appreciation for the pair.
Some fans took to social media to celebrate the news of their upcoming appearance. Emma-Jayne Ellis said: “Oh what a day!”
George Leonard wrote on Facebook: “Please let us go.”
Scott Bassinder asked friends: “Are we off to meet our hero in our favourite gaff? It looks like being a busy night down at Acapulco.”
Tickets are on sale now, although it looks like you’ll have to be quick with some packages already being snapped up.
Entry on the night is £5 but if you want to meet the special guests you’ll have to pay a £10 entry. You can find out more and buy tickets through the venue’s website.
DELIVEROO has joined forces with WHSmith as it continues to expand further from its traditional takeaway delivery business.
The online delivery operator said it will be able to deliver a raft of products, from printer cartridges to bestselling novels, to customers in 20 minutes.
It is Deliveroo’s first major leap into general merchandise although the company has rapidly grown its retail operation since the pandemic struck, linking up with supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.
WHSmith is launching the partnership today in Reading, Berkshire, and will roll this across nine more stores over the next week.
The trial will offer about 600 WHSmith products to customers.
This will include stationery and home-working equipment, children’s revision guides, technology accessories including airpods and best-selling books.
Carlo Mocci, chief business officer for UK & Ireland at Deliveroo, said: “This partnership will further increase the choice and selection of on-demand convenience products for our consumers, delivered in as little as 20 minutes, and will create more work for riders across the UK.”
