Man ‘bleeding like a stuck pig’ after pub toilet assault
A MAN was left “bleeding like a stuck pig” after being assaulted by two men in the toilet of a Huddersfield town centre pub.
An eyewitness told The Examiner the victim was assaulted in an unprovoked attack following a trivial incident after one of them brushed past his girlfriend as they were sitting down enjoying a drink in Plumbers Arms on Saturday evening.
The eyewitness said: “He was OK afterwards but there was blood all over the sit-down loo in the gents.
“He was bleeding like a stuck pig.”
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said:
“Police were called to the Plumbers Arms pub on Macaulay Street, Huddersfield at about 9.06pm on Saturday, April 2, to a report of an assault.
“The incident occurred after the male victim was followed into the toilets by two other males and assaulted. He received facial injuries but did not need medical treatment.
“The suspects, described as a man in his 20s and a man in his 40s, both of whom were wearing tracksuits, left the pub after the attack. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who saw what occurred or can identify the suspects is asked to contact police.”
