HISTORIC FORMER PUB TRANSFORMED INTO EXCLUSIVE VENUE

A FORMER pub steeped in history has been given an amazing transformation into an exclusive party venue complete with hot tub, disco room and bar, including karaoke stage, and a five-a-side football pitch.

The Carriage House Inn, which lies on the A62, just over the top of the hills in Marsden, has been renamed Horizon House after undergoing extensive renovations.

Before undergoing an impressive makeover, the former family pub had been empty since the previous owners, Bev and Simon Fallone, retired after running it for 16 years and put it on the market with an asking price of £749,950.

The business was offered with three acres of land and also offered caravan and camping facilities.

After being empty for two years the property was bought by Holmfirth-based Celebration Cottages in 2019 and the building has now changed beyond recognition.

The ultra-modern party venue and residential family let boasts nine bedrooms, which can accommodate up to 30 people, as well as a fabulous oversized lounge fit with a pool table, leading onto the disco room with a bar and karaoke facilities.

The fully refurbished property is perfect for stag and hen dos with no need for external activities. The property includes an indoor sports pitch with football, tennis and basketball options, activities such as Zorb football, yoga and fitness bootcamps can also be arranged as part of your stay.

Other activities available to book for your special weekend include afternoon tea, beauty and massage therapists, mixologists for cocktail making, cooking classes, cheeky butlers and so much more.

Whatever your occasion, Horizon House is the ultimate luxury venue to create magical memories!

There is also an indulgent outdoor state-of-the-art hot tub providing guests with the perfect chance to relax and unwind, whilst overlooking picturesque views of the remote Yorkshire countryside setting.

Marsden is just seven miles from Huddersfield, and there are lots of breath-taking walks and nature trails, you can also stroll along the canal if you want to take in the surrounding countryside.

A one night stay at Horizon House will set you back £1,450, which may sound expensive but when you split the cost between the maximum number of 30 guests it comes in at just £48.33 per person – arguably less than you’d spend on a night out partying in town!

Sunday to Thursday can be booked for a one-night stay, however, there is a two night minimum stay over the weekend.

For each guest after 15 guests there is a fee of £150. This fee is nonrefundable.

It is worth noting that behind the property is a well maintained touring site for walkers exploring the Penine way walks.

This can mean caravans and tents may be pitched behind the property. However, the touring site has no access to the property and has a separate driveway.
