Chippy batters the competition to take award
FISH BAR NAMED ONE OF UK’S BEST
A HUDDERSFIELD chippy has joined the ‘elite’ by being named one of the UK’s best.
Lindley Fish Bar, based in West Street, is celebrating after tasting success in a rigorous process run by The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF). The business has received NFFF Quality Accreditation status.
The NFFF is the trade body representing the nation’s fish and chip shops and runs the scheme as a way of raising and maintaining standards. The scheme is a way of rewarding and promoting shops that provide good quality products and high standards of hygiene, as well as friers who show a high level of competence.
To qualify, each shop must go through a virtual inspection by an NFFF Approved Assessor who assesses the shop’s presentation, hygiene and cleanliness, staff training, equipment, frying and sales skills and most importantly the quality of the cooked product.

Each Fish and Chip Quality Accreditation is valid for a year and retention is dependent on standards being maintained as validated by NFFF officials and appointed assessors. Lindley Fish Bar has proven that it consistently serves some of the UK’s finest fish and chips.
