POET’S CORNER
Still they cry their silent tears,
In the dark and lonely nights
Afraid to face the modern world,
And step into the light. Time and fate their enemy
Their broken hearts the cost
Caught in the aftermath of war
All that they had ... now lost.
No one sees or hears them cry,
Please find the answers Tell them why.
In the aftermath are epitaphs,
Abandoned ...
Lost ...
Alone ...
A poppy field, a wooden cross
Etched with the words unknown!
