Tough test for young Rangers

-

HALL Road Rangers face Thackley in the second of three successive away games, hoping to build on the positives from last weekend’s late defeat at Eccleshill

United.

However, with Thackley on a five-game unbeaten run, Rangers boss Billy Gill is expecting another tough test.

He will welcome back a trio of players and one new signing and will be hoping for a repeat of the 4-2 win from Hall Road’s last visit to Thackley.

“We have lots of positives from our last two games to take into the match against Thackley,” he said.

“We ran out 4-2 winners the last time we went there but Thackley’s run will give them a lot of confidence, I’m sure.”

Gill summed up by praising his young squad and pointing out that it will take time to solidify everything.

“We are learning as a new youthful group how to manage small parts of the game,” he said.

“It’s a work in progress and can take some time to perfect.

“We are lucky to have everyone associated with the club seeing the small progress with this young group and giving us continuous support.”
