Police recover stash of stolen items – are any of them yours?

BID TO REUNITE GOODS TAKEN FROM CARS WITH THEIR OWNERS

-

POLICE have recovered a stash of belongings stolen from unlocked cars in west Hull.

Mobile phones, purses, tools, a painting and even a medical stethoscope were among the items found when officers arrested a “prolific” thief.

Among the belongings, which are all believed to have been stolen from cars in Willerby, Hessle, Anlaby and Kirk Ella between February 15 and March 22, is a dashcam.

PC Andy White said in part of the footage on the camera, a couple called Pam and John can be heard talking in Morrison’s car park in Anlaby.

Other items that have been taken from cars include headphones, bags, keys and a pair of binoculars.

PC White said the force is now hoping to reunite the items with their owners and for anyone who recognises any of them to get in touch. The full set of images can be viewed on Hull-live.co.uk

PC White said: “We know the items must all have been taken from cars between February 15 and March 22.

“They were all taken from the west Hull area. He has been going around on his bike, getting whatever he can get his hands on.

“We hope by releasing the images of the items we will be able to return them to their owners.”

Humberside Police have said the suspect, who was released from prison earlier this year, allegedly targeted vehicles that were left unlocked.

If you recognise any of the items in the photos and believe they may belong to you or someone you know, call police on 101, quoting log number 16/38004/18.
