Hundreds cut off in Japan

FLOODING and mudslides have stranded hundreds of people in scenic hot springs and hiking areas in central Japan.

Rescue workers searched for more people missing in rainrelated disasters that have already killed more than 60 people in the country.

Parts of Nagano and Gifu have been flooded by massive downpours.
