Popular pub reopening beer garden

A Well-known pub in Hull has announced that it is opening its doors once more this weekend following the coronaviru­s lockdown.

The Polar Bear will be opening its beer garden from 1pm on tomorrow.

There will be no reservatio­ns required and admission will be on a first come, first served basis.

It will be up to customers how long they want to stay, with no time restrictio­ns on tables until the bar closes.

Table service will be in place with orders being registered through Facebook Messenger and card only being accepted as payment.

In a Facebook post, The Polar Bear wrote: “The announceme­nt you thought you’d never hear - the Bear Garden is open.

“From Saturday, July 11, we will be opening our Bear Garden from 1pm.

“NO reservatio­ns required ‘cause that’s not how we do things!

“Bring your phones as it’s table service only. Orders will be placed from the comfort of your table via Facebook Messenger (to the Polar Bear Facebook page) and a Polar Bear staff member will appear with your drinks.

“Card only, so please don’t be bringing cash.

“We have missed you all and very much look forward to seeing your lovely faces”.

After Saturday, The Polar Bear will open again from Friday, July 17 from 3pm to 11pm and then 1pm to 11pm on Saturday and noon to 10pm on Sunday.
