Taylor returns but how will Black and Whites line up for Castleford test?

-

ANDY Last has made four changes to his Hull FC side this week with Scott Taylor being amongst those to come in.

The prop forward has been missing since the season restarted and is expected to come into the side this week, but Last is without Josh Griffin and Danny Houghton who both drop out of contention.

With that in mind, the Mail has attempted to predict the 17-man line-up Last will name tomorrow night to face Castleford Tigers.

With Marc Sneyd likely to come back into the side at scrum-half after missing last week’s clash through precaution, Carlos Tuimavave can expect to return to his more natural centre spot, where he could partner up with Mahe Fonua on the right edge.

Taylor is expected to come straight into the line-up after so long spent on the sidelines and he could well partner Ligi Sao, who has been in fine form of late through the middle.

With no Houghton, Jordan Johnstone is the obvious choice to start at number nine and he’ll be keen to use the opportunity and put in another strong performance. Joe Cator was named on the bench last time out against Salford Red Devils, but he’s been the club’s outstanding loose-forward since the restart and can count himself unfortunate should he not start.

Cator can also provide cover at hooker should Johnstone be forced off the field at any point, while the likes of Andre Savelio or

Brad Fash can step in off the bench into that number 13 spot if needed.

Predicted Hull FC team: Jamie Shaul; Bureta Faraimo, Kieran Buchanan Carlos Tuimavave, Mahe Fonua; Jake Connor, Marc Sneyd; Scott Taylor, Jordan Johnstone, Ligi Sao; Jordan Lane, Manu Ma’u; Joe Cator Bench: Chris Satae, Josh Bowden, Andre Savelio, Brad Fash
