Arrests after raid uncovers a firearm, two Tasers and cash
POLICE have arrested a man and a woman in Hull after a raid that uncovered a firearm, as well as two Tasers and cash.
Residents reported their neighbours in Coltman Street after concerns were raised about flats there, which they suspected were being used for drug-related crime.
The Operation Galaxy team were joined by the Hull Central Neighbourhood team as they targeted three properties on the street yesterday morning.
As a result, a 41-year-old man and 38-year-old woman were both arrested on suspicion of money laundering and possession of a firearm, with two Tasers and a quantity of cash siezed.
Both remain in custody, pending further enquiries.
Community Beat Manager Tim Mcgowan said: “I’d like to thank the community for their continued support and for getting in touch with us with information to help us carry out targeted operations like we have today.
“We will continue to do all we can to help rid Coltman Street of drug-related crime and antisocial behaviour and your information is vital in helping us to do that.

The proactive task force at Operation Galaxy has endeavoured to “take control” of the streets while making “the lives of criminals and predators difficult and uncomfortable”.
The operation targets all types of crime, from drug-related offences and county lines gangs, to organised crime and exploitation.
