Woman spared jail after headbutting ferry worker

A Mum-of-two has been spared jail after assaulting a P&O worker at Hull docks.
Ashley Hendrie, 27, has been given a second chance by a judge after she assaulted the P&O worker at the ferry terminal in Hull.
Hull Crown Court heard Hendrie attacked the woman after she had told her off for urinating in public at the terminal.
It is understood she headbutted the woman, causing her to fall.
Hendrie was given a second chance by Recorder Algazy QC when she was sentenced.
Recorder Algazy handed Hendrie a 16-month sentence suspended for 24 months.
He also ordered her to carry out 150 unpaid work hours, as well as a rehabilitation activity for ten days.
P&O Ferries have declined to comment.
This is not the first time Hendrie has found herself in the dock.
In August last year she appeared at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court after admitting drink-driving.

Drive bingedrinking until 3am on June 24, and was caught drink-driving the next afternoon.
It was her drinking partner who reported her to Humberside Police.
Grimsby Magistrates’ Court heard she had taken taxis in the morning, but wrongly thought the alcohol would have cleared from her system by the afternoon.
Police were alerted that she was drink-driving near her home.
Officers saw her drive on Davenport Drive and she approached them and suggested that she had been drinking and might still be over the limit.
Hendrie seemed to be tired and her speech was slurred. She said she had been drinking until 3am.
A breath test revealed she had 85mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
She was given a £250 fine and banned from driving for 20 months.
