New escape room set to open in city

A NEW escape room Can You Escape? e? is opening in Hull’s Parliament Square. e.

The Uk-wide firm has unveiled its ts first escape game in the city, which ch invites teams of players to escape from m a locked room.

They must find solving a series of within 60 minutes.

Can You Escape? is offering a third off ticket prices this week to mark its launch this Halloween weekend.

The first game in Hull is the multiaward winning Operation Odyssey, set in an Internatio­nal Space Station which has been hit by a meteor.

Teams of up to six players must solve puzzles to repair the Odyssey escape pod in time to save the crew and themselves.

Can You Escape’s owner and the founder of Escape, Daniel Hill, said: “We’re over the moon to be opening our first venue in Hull.

“Operation Odyssey is one of our most popular games and we’re delighted to be able to bring it to the city.

“We hope we can deliver a tourism their way out by clues and puzzles es and economic boost for Hull and look forward to an exciting future in the city.”

During lockdown, Can You Escape? launched a virtual “escape room” challenge to bring the experience to people’s homes.

Strict social distancing measures, cleaning protocols and other precaution­s have now been put in place.

Can You Escape? has branches in the UK, in

Edinburgh, and is part of national firm Escape, headquarte­red in Scotland.

Escape has more than 200 rooms across the world and has been visited by over 300,000 customers, as well as designing the challenge for last year’s escape room world championsh­ip.
