NORTH Ferriby FC have been boosted by a significant investment with the Coyle family announced as new chief sponsors of the club’s sporting arena.

Coyle Sports in the Community are the new headline sponsors of the club’s 4G training arena, home to Ferriby’s youth teams and local clubs.

Brothers Tommy, Lewie, Joe and Rocco Coyle launched their new community interest company on Monday with the family setting out to play a significant part in boosting local sport in the region, with this the first deal confirmed.

Coyle Sports will have the naming rights to the arena which is home for the junior football teams but also acts as a multi-purpose facility for the club and region.

“It’s like going full circle for me because I started out here training with former Ferriby boss Darren France,” explained Hull City star Lewie Coyle.

“Coyle Sports is all about giving something back to the community and this is a great way for us to start doing that by investing in a great facility that is used by so many young kids. It’s the perfect fit.

“I’m looking forward to seeing so many kids make use of the facility and getting on there and taking some sessions myself.”

The investment is a welcome boost for the Villagers, who like all sports clubs are coming to terms with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The club’s Northern Counties East League Division One games have had sell-outs under the new Covid-19 attendance restrictions, but it remains a difficult landscape for football clubs at every level.

The partnership with Coyle Sports is a boost not just for the football club, but the wider community.

“We feel it’s the right partnership for the club moving forward,” explained Glen Rimmington, Ferriby FC vice chairman.

“The Coyles do so much for local sport and charities in the town and them sponsoring the naming rights to the arena can only raise their profile and the interest in this great club.

“It is something myself, Les and everyone associated with the club very much appreciate.

“The club is heading in the right direction, on and off the pitch, and thank everyone for their support during such difficult times.”
