THE “gutted” owner of a missing rottweiler has offered a £500 cash reward to get his family dog back.

Hull dad Shaun Ritchie, 32, of Greatfield Estate, says his dog Brutus has been missing since

Monday, November 2.

He says Brutus went missing from his back garden and has not been seen since.

He says he believes someone may have Brutus and desperately wants him back home where he belongs.

Brutus is said to be wearing a metal choker collar and has a “bit of grey under his chin”.

He is described as being “very friendly with dogs and people”.

“I think Monday morning he’s got out from the back of my

garden onto the fields that lead to East Riding,” Mr Ritchie said.

“He hasn’t been seen since. No one has seen him at all so I think someone has got him.

“There’s £500 waiting for them if they bring him back.”

The Hull dad, who has a sevenyear-old, eight-year-old, 13-yearold and a four-month old baby, said his family have desperately been searching for Brutus.

“They have been out looking for him,” he said. “I’ve been out since Monday, I’ve hardly been in.

“I’ve had him for about eightand-a-half years. I am obviously missing him. I’m just gutted.

“Someone must have seen him somewhere. I’ve checked all the fields at least ten times,

The 32-year-old, who has had Brutus since he was around four weeks old - said he has shared his appeal “everywhere” online.

“They are worth quite a lot of money, maybe not at his age, but they are still worth [maybe] £200 - if someone has got him and they think they can try to sell him or breed him.

“If someone has got him or someone knows someone who has got him, £500 is quite a lot of money.”

Mr Ritchie says Brutus has never gone missing before.

“He’s been here [at this home] about seven years,” he said. “He’s been on the fields loads of times. He’s always on there, but he always trots back, he never goes [where] you can’t see him.”

Brutus is a male rottweiler, is eight years old and was lost from the Greatfield Estate area on November 2.

A £500 cash reward is being offered for his “safe return or the names of anyone who has him”.
