Tuimavave is FC’S top player

-

CARLOS Tuimavave has been crowned Hull FC’S Player of the Year after a remarkable 2020 campaign.

The centre has been one of

Hull’s most consistent performers since making the move to East Yorkshire in 2016 and this season was one of his best yet.

Tuimavave scored eight tries and picked up a host of plaudits as FC came within touching distance of reaching the Grand Final for the first time in 14 years.

As a result, the 28-year-old has been awarded the club’s Player of the Year award, while he also earned the recognition of his peers by picking up the coveted Players’ Player of the Year prize.

Joe Cator was the supporters’ choice after an eye-catching first season in Hull colours.

The forward was brought in at the start of the campaign as one for the future but established himself in the side after lockdown and more than impressed under interim head coach Andy Last.

After a poll on the club’s official website, he takes the fans’ award and also the club’s Young Player of the Year award. Tuimavave won a third award as his effort against St Helens in February was voted the club’s Try of the Year.

Liam Welham has won the Clubman award. The community engagement officer took it upon himself to deliver food parcels to those that needed them most during the pandemic.

Club historian Bill Dalton won FC’S Volunteer of the Year award.
