Zara apologises after quarantine ‘mix-up’ with her boyfriend in Barbados

HULL’S Zara Holland has been forced to apologise to the people of Barbados following a quarantine “mix-up”.

The former Love Island star, who was stripped of her Miss Great Britain title after she appeared on the show, has released a statement after attempting to leave the Caribbean country while in quarantine a “misunderst­anding”.

In the statement, released by a representa­tive of the family to Barbados Today, Zara apologised and would said she would put right any issues on her part.

The Hessle boutique owner said: “I I firstly wish to apologise to the entire country of Barbados for what has been a massive mix up and misunderst­anding during my most recent stay.”

“I am currently working closely with the local authoritie­s to rectify any issues on my part and will issue an update and full statement which

I think is the only right thing to do to the Government and citizens of Barbados.

“I have been a guest of this lovely island in excess of 20 years and would never do anything to jeopardise an entire nation that I have nothing but loved and respect for and which has treated me as a family.”

Zara, 25, and her boyfriend Elliott Love, 30, were allegedly held after “attempting to le leave the island nation” and were stopped a at the airport, reports The Mirror.

After taking two separate negative tests Zara was allowed to leave a quarantine facility at the Paragon Military Base that she s was taken to.

However, Mr Love remains at the f facility.

Island chief medical officer Dr Kenneth George revealed there were breaches of Covid-19 rules.
