A STUDENT claims she was “assaulted” with Christmas decorations by a foul-mouthed shop worker.

The 28-year-old Hull woman says she nipped into the One Below Store in North Point Shopping Centre, Bransholme on December 18, for some lunch.

But she was horrified when a staff member allegedly threw items, some of which she claims hit her as a result.

The woman also claims the staff member used abusive language during the incident.

“I was assaulted by a member of staff of the One Below store at North Point Shopping Centre in Hull,” she said.

“I was stood down one of the aisles and I kind of felt a load of sharp things hit the side of me.

“As I turned to say ‘what’s going on?’ there was a gentleman effing and blinding.

“To my surprise, member of staff.”

The woman says the man used abusive language towards his manager when challenged.

Explaining what happened, she said: “He was pulling things off the shelves

it was actually a and throwing them everywhere.

“It was just me and him down the aisle.

“It was packs of the little beads that go around your Christmas tree. He’d started by pulling the metal hooks on the shelf off and then repeatedly pulled off and threw these items.

“When they hit the floor, they basically shattered everywhere and that is what I’d felt when it hit me on the side.

“The manager came to the top of the aisle and asked him what he was doing. Again he was verbally abusive and continued to throw these things.”

One Below declined to comment on but told the Mail it has been in touch with the customer to resolve concerns.
