Comedian makes a Ronnie anthem
ROAD RAGER INSPIRED VIRAL MUSIC HIT
AN Irish comedian has recorded an “indie” song about Ronnie Pickering and his viral road rage rant.
And the song has been watched more than half a million times on Twitter.
Michael Fry, 27, said Ronnie Pickering was suggested to him as a potential topic for a song by followers.
He says it is brilliantly funny and one of his personal favourite clips.
“I write and record everything myself,” the 27-yearold told the Mail.
“I decided on Ronnie Pickering after releasing four similar videos in the same week where I take viral voice notes or clips and make them sound like Indie pop bands - the most common comparisons I get are Hot Chip, The xx or Two Door Cinema Club.
“Ronnie Pickering was one of the most suggested from my followers and so I thought I should definitely do it because it’s so brilliantly funny and one of my personal favourite clips.”
Explaining a bit about himself, he said: “I’m an Irish comedian.
“I’ve been active for about three years on social media doing various sketches a couple of which have gone viral already - a reimagining of the Loose Women and a parody of an anti-mask protester in London.
“Lockdown accelerated things and my following was already growing before these videos, but Ronnie Pickering and the Come Dine with me video have really helped me reach new heights and a large audience in the UK that I didn’t really have before.”
