Man injured in lockdown ‘party’ row
A MAN has been injured in a confrontation over a lockdown “party” in North Ferriby.
Police were called out to The Triangle in the west Hull village on Saturday night amid reports of fireworks being set off late into the evening – which prompted a neighbour to attempt to intervene.
Officers were called just before 10pm after concerns were raised that the party was in breach of lockdown rules. However, once in attendance, police established that “the people at the property were all residents of that house”.
But, in the disagreement, a physical altercation was reported to have occurred, meaning one man had to be taken to hospital after suffering injuries to his face.
In the aftermath of the party, Humberside Police launched an investigation into what happened.
Providing an update on their callout, a spokeswoman for the Humberside force said: “Officers attended an address on The Triangle, North Ferriby, shortly before 10pm on Saturday, January 23, following reports of a party taking place.
“Upon attendance, officers used the 4Es approach (engaging, explaining, encouraging and enforcement) and it was established the people at the property were all residents of that house, therefore no fixed penalty notices were issued.
“However, an altercation was reported to have taken place at the address, where a man suffered injuries to his face.
“He was taken to hospital where he received treatment for these injuries. An investigation has been launched.”
