REHEARSALS are under way in Cottingham for Calm Sea Creatives’ festive production The Christmas Star on Hushabye Mountain.

The drama troupe, formed by creatives from in and around Hull, are looking for two young actors to join their production and feature as main characters in the Christmas show.

They are looking to cast children aged nine to 13 and no acting experience is required.

On their website, they wrote: “We are looking for a strong cast of children to play a key role throughout in this family Christmas show.

“No acting experience is needed and you will be learning through workshops on a Wednesday physical theatre with some elements of singing and dancing for the final show.

“We will be casting from these sessions, two main characters for the show, alongside our adult cast.”

This could be an exciting opportunity for any young people in Hull who have always wanted to get into acting, but have never had the opportunity before.

If you know a child who would be perfect for this casting, contact Calm Sea Creatives via email at hello@ calmseacreatives.co.uk or find out more at www.calmseacreatives.co.uk/ hushapply

Calm Sea Creatives describes its Christmas production as “a show like no other”.

Writing about The Christmas Star on Hushabye Mountain on its website, the troupe said: “This Christmas, choose to watch something new, fun, thoughtful and amazing.

“A brand new, family-friendly musical drama for everyone to enjoy as well as an unbelievable experience in true physical theatre.

“Watch a show revealed in front of your eyes alongside a deeper understanding of people, experiences and festive cheer, mixed with an exploration of humanity and love.”
