Predator electrician is locked up for 40 years
CATALOGUE OF SEX OFFENCES AGAINST FOUR CHILDREN OVER 14-YEAR PERIOD
A SADISTIC predator has been sentenced to 40 years behind bars after being charged with a catalogue of sex offences against four children over a 14-year period.
Electrician Jamie Kendall, 35, of Barnetby Road, Hessle, was jailed at Hull Crown Court after a jury on an earlier trial unanimously found him guilty of 33 separate offences.
Kendall showed no remorse for his actions by pleading not guilty, resulting in his four victims having to relive the trauma of the sickening ordeals he put them through.
The court heard how Kendall abused his position of trust deceitfully manipulating his four victims over a 14-year period.
Kendall systematically abused his victims preying on their vulnerabilities for his own sexual gain.
He was found guilty of offences against children under the age of 13, which included ten counts of assault by penetration, 11 counts of sexual assault, two counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity and one attempted rape of a child.
Detective Constable Steve Bromby, of Humberside Police, said: “Firstly, I would like to start by commending the bravery and courage of Kendall’s victims and having the strength to come forward and speak about their horrific experiences.
“Although today’s sentencing is welcomed and Kendall is behind bars where he belongs, it still does not take away the pain he caused his victims.
“I hope that this sentencing can provide his victims with some comfort in knowing that they, and nobody else, will come to harm because of this predator.
“I would like to provide reassurance to anyone who may have suffered a sexual abuse, if you come to us we will listen to and support you and act against those responsible.
“We work in partnership with the local authority and a number of local charities and agencies to ensure victims of this type of crime are offered advice and support whether they decide to pursue through the justice system or not.”
