HULL’S own Robyn Mukoyi is the newest member of the Geordie Shore family, the wild and wonderful reality show about nightlife in Newcastle.

The show, now into its 22nd season, follows a group of housemates as they go about their lives in Newcastle, soaking up all the bars and nightlife that the northern city has to offer.

Robyn, 24, who was born and raised in Hull, was approached about joining the show after living in Newcastle for four years, where she worked as a hostess at House of Smith.

Speaking to Hull Live about how she ended up on Geordie Shore, Robyn said: “I got a message via Instagram and it didn’t give a lot of information.

“In all honesty, I thought I was getting scammed. But after having a little nosey on the account, I agreed to speak to the caster that had reached out.

“One thing lead to another. We had a Zoom call, and I can talk for England once you get me started, and I ended up having a Zoom call with the show’s producers.

“Before I knew it, I was in a taxi with two suitcases on my way back to my second home, Newcastle!”

All of Robyn’s family live in Hull, and she went to secondary school in the city.

She said that she “loves the city” and it will “always feel like home”.

Speaking about her time on the show, Robyn said: “I had an amazing time and met some new people that I’ve stayed in contact with who will be friends for life.

“It’s my first time doing anything like this, but it was great to know that they were mostly in the same position.

“It was just one wild party and I swear I lost ten years of my life expectancy, but it was such an amazing experience.

“I swear I’m not as cringe in person though.” Speaking about how her TV lifestyle in Newcastle compares to her life back in Hull, Robyn said that she has a great deal of love for both.

“I love my life in Hull and I wouldn’t knock it – it’s made me who I am.

“But, so has Newcastle. I love both cities.”
