Teenage girl ‘launched’ vodka bottle at shopworker in Hull
DISPUTE OVER THEFT OF £5 FAKE EYELASHES
A 15-year-old girl is alleged to have “launched” a vodka bottle at a female shop worker in a dispute over a £5 pack of eyelashes.
The woman, who works at Savers in King Edward Street, Hull city centre, is said to have been attacked in the shop by two girls, both 15, on Tuesday, October 15.
The Mail understands that one of the girls was caught stealing a £5 pair of false eyelashes in the store, before the shop worker intervened.
One of the girls is alleged to have then launched a vodka bottle at the staff member, which hit her on the side of the face.
Humberside Police were called to the disturbance at 3.40pm on
Tuesday and the woman was taken to hospital with a serious head injury. The two girls were both arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
One was also arrested on suspicion of theft.
A crime scene investigation unit was parked up outside the Savers store around noon on Wednesday.
