The 26-year-old’s tenacious, assiduous displays in the pack earned him admiring glances from throughout Super League.

28: Mike Cooper: Cut the no-nonsense Warrington-born forward open and you will find he bleeds primrose and blue. Cooper, 33, continues to prove an outstanding servant, making 17 Super League appearances.

27; Luke Yates: Emerged with his reputation enhanced at the Giants. The Aussie back-rower made 18 appearances and was rewarded with a deal that will see him stay until the end of 2024.

He scored 10 tries and laid on six more but was equally as impressive without the ball, ranking 12th for tackles.

22: Mark Percival: Injury issues continued at the start of this year, but once the 27-year-old got a run in the side his form improved and by the end, was close to his very best. With eight tries, a Challenge Cup medal and a Grand Final ring he remains one of the competition’s best centres.
