The wraps come off at market town development
SHOW HOME AND ‘UNWRAPPED’ HOUSE UNVEILED TO THE PUBLIC
HOUSEBUILDER Bovis Homes has officially launched its first Yorkshire development of 75 new homes in the East Riding market town of Pocklington.
Located close to the town centre, the wraps have also come off a brand-new show home and a unique “unwrapped” house in time for the festive season at Beckfields, which boasts a property portfolio of traditionally inspired homes with a touch of the contemporary.
The jewel in the development’s crown is the four-bedroom Willow show home, a three-storey design that offers flexible living, style and space, says Bovis Homes.
“A desirable home in which to work, rest and play, features of the Willow include stylish, modern, open-plan kitchen/dining area, bi-fold doors to the rear garden and the opportunity to use any of the three bedrooms as a home office, hobby room or additional family space,” said the builder.
Bovis has also added a unique dimension to the development by unveiling an “unwrapped” home alongside the show home.
Rather like the trend for “naked” wedding cakes, which leave off the traditional frostings and decorations to reveal the insides, this home cleverly leaves a number of materials used and elements in the construction process exposed, allowing customers to see just what has gone into building their new home at Beckfields.
This is the first home of its kind at any Bovis or Linden Homes development in the region and is designed to allow the company to be transparent in its build quality, including internal brick work, insulation, exposed roof beams and kitchen appliance shells.
The Beckfields collection of two, three, and four-bedroom homes – which also includes two-bedroom bungalows – is designed to meet the needs of everyone from first-time buyers, young professionals, growing families and those looking to downsize.
Bovis Homes – which together with Linden Homes forms the Vistry Group - will also be contributing just over £37,000 to recreation and educational facilities for the community, as part of its Section 106 planning agreement with the local authority.
