School pays tribute to ‘treasured’ mum killed in car crash
WOMAN DIED IN A63 ACCIDENT
A MUM who tragically died in a crash on the A63 this week has been described by friends as a “treasured member of the community”.
Cherished Elloughton resident Alison Clark, 43, was killed in Monday night’s crash on the westbound carriage of the A63, which also left two men dead and a third in a critical condition in hospital.
Tributes to Alison, known to loved ones as Ali, were led by her husband, Rob Clark, earlier this week, describing her as as a “beautiful soul” and his “guiding star, love and best friend”.
The Friends of Elloughton School Association (FESA) has released a heartfelt statement following news of Ali’s death, paying testimony to her generosity of spirit.
“We are so incredibly saddened by the sudden and tragic death of a treasured member of our school community, Ali Clark,” FESA wrote on social media on Thursday.
“Ali was such a caring, kind and thoughtful person, a wonderful mum, wife and daughter.
“She was generous of spirit in every sense of the term. So warm and welcoming and would do absolutely anything for anyone. And always with a smile on her face.”
Ali was also described as a long-serving fundraiser who loved organising activities and initiatives for the children, who she would put “before herself ”.
Ali was so passionate about ensuring FESA’S sustainability that this school year, she took on the role of chair.
“Taking on the role of leading FESA, she organised events that raised valuable funds and implemented new initiatives that were aimed at bringing the whole community together,” the group added.
“She made new members feel so welcome and made sure to always take the time to say thank you to anyone who had supported FESA events by volunteering and donating.”
Humberside Police were called at around 10pm on Monday following the collision near Melton on the A63.
She was driving a Peugeot which collided with a white BMW car, with the BMW bursting into flames.
