The most and least expensive homes sold in area this year

FROM a £42,000 flat off Beverley Road, Hull, to a £1.1m luxury house in the leafy suburb of West Ella, there was a margin of more than a million pounds between the most and least expensive homes sold in the region in the first three months of 2022, property data has revealed.
While house prices have been soaring well above the limits of affordability in many places in recent years, Hull remains one of the cheapest areas of the country to get on the property ladder. Figures for January to March 2022, however, show a large disparity between the most and least costly homes purchased in East Yorkshire.
The most expensive home sold in the first part of this year was in West Ella Road, West Ella, which sold on February 21 for a stunning £1,085,000.
Meanwhile, a flat in Cave Street, off Beverley Road, central Hull, was the cheapest property to be snapped up in the city at just £42,000.
The most expensive home within the Hull city boundaries sold for £445,000, on The Pines, in Kingswood. The only other house to sell for £400,000 or more in the city was at 254 Saltshouse Road, a semi-detached house, which sold for £400,000 on January 31.
The cheapest home in the East Riding was a flat in Anlaby, which sold for £35,000 in January this year.
While most of the cheapest sales were apartments, a terraced house in White Street, Hull, sold for £54,000 in January, while in the same month a flat in Nelson Street, Bridlington, sold for £56,000.

■ Court House, Main Road, Sproatley, East Riding, HU11 4GB, which is a detached house, sold for £710,000 on February 16
■ Calderstones, West Ella Road, West Ella, East Riding, HU10 7SD, which is a detached house, sold for £700,000 on January 13
Least expensive houses East Yorkshire, January-march 2022
■ 67 Kirk House, Pryme Street, Anlaby, East Riding, HU10 6EN, which is a flat, sold for £35,000 on January 14
■ 13 Cave Street, Hull, HU5 2TZ, which is a flat, sold for £42,000 on January 22
■ 14 Hobart Street, Hull, HU3 2EX, which is a flat, sold for £45,000 on January 31
■ 3 Burlington Court, Gordon Road, Bridlington, East Riding, YO16 4PQ, which is a flat, sold for £47,500 on February 1
■ 12 Henson Villas, Hull, HU5 2SZ, which is a flat, sold for £48,000 on March 4 (this sale may have been a buy-to-let, a transfer to a company, or a repossession).
