Government not doing anything to address energy situation

-

WHAT I heard in the news this past few days or so, of our illustrious leader Mr Bo Jo himself and what seems contempt for this country, has really made my blood boil.

It may be down to his mistrust of his underlings or minions, but why does he totally ignore a meeting in Doncaster for the favour of Ukraine.

OK, we cannot argue that Ukraine is on everybody’s lips at the minute, well not as much as has been (inc the BBC news coverage), I would assume that to gain brownie points he would have chosen to attend this meeting, especially if it would go in his favour.

By ignoring this planned meeting and jetting off to Ukraine, has now been held in contempt, which will damage his already damaged reputation.

Could he not have sent the likes of Patel or another underling to Ukraine, just like he did with the Covid situation, where he was very rarely addressing us, his voters? Saying that, is there anyone who can be trusted to do the job?

But his contempt for the UK and jetting off for a tea and bickies meet with the President is not addressing issues at home, so therefore like the rest are treating us, the public with contempt, nobody, not one person has done anything to address the energy situation, which in actual fact Sunak caused.

Ofgem is a watchdog, started by the Government to see fair play. Clearly not, Ofgem is answerable to the Government and Sunak could have said no, the price cap is not happening.

Spending more increases inflation. Food, fuel, energy, etc, is costing more, now they are complaining that inflation is going through the roof. Then the Bank of England increases interest rates, so more spending.

What a shambles we are facing, and it’s going to get worse in time, especially in October when another 50 per cent-plus is slapped on us.

And this is how we are paying back the furlough and bounce back loans. Small businesses and the self-employed suffer, not the big concerns, because Sunak has written off billions claimed fraudulently. It’s easier to go after the small business.

Everything is getting beyond our reach, but in easy reach of the fat cats.

We are not going forward, we are going backwards.

I hate to think what the future holds.

Pete Leeson.
