This March, Hull New Theatre takes a look behind the scenes at one of the most enduring vocal groups in history and celebrates the woman who kept their star shining for so long.
Direct from the West End, the smash-hit The Drifters Girl heads to Hull New Theatre from 12 - 16 March as part of its first UK and Ireland tour. Discover the remarkable story of Faye Treadwell, the legendary manager who refused to give up on the group she loved. From the highs of hit records to the lows of legal battles and personal tragedy, this critically acclaimed production will take you on an epic journey.
Starring Carly Mercedes Dyer, former star of Six the Musical who recently delighted audiences with her performances as Erma in Anything Goes, as industry changemaker and legendary manager of The Drifters, Faye Treadwell. Alongside
Ashford Campbell (who hit UK screens in ITV’S The X Factor as member of The Risk and now continues his journey with The Drifters Girl having performed as part of the West End company), Miles Anthony Daley (Tina Turner: The Musical, Choir of Man) and Tarik Frimpong (The Wiz; Aladdin).
