HULL City head coach Liam Rosenior has hinted at making changes for this afternoon’s crunch visit to play-off rivals Preston North End as the Tigers look to take another big step towards sealing a play-off place.

Rosenior confirmed striker Noah Ohio played 90 minutes in a behind-closed-doors game at City’s training ground this week, while experienced striker Billy Sharp played an hour, with the Tigers head coach considering starting a more traditional number nine having operated without a striker in the last two outings.

The visit to Deepdale is the first of three games in a busy week for City who then face Birmingham City on Tuesday before league leaders Leicester visit the MKM Stadium in the final game for the Tigers until the end of the month, leaving them without a competitive match for three weeks.

“I am, yes, it’s horses for courses,” Rosenior told the Mail when asked if he was considering making changes.

“We’re going to a team that are physical, one that can be very direct but they can also play. They’re a set-piece threat.

“And I know a lot of people speak about how small we are as a team at the moment.

“So, yes, it’s something for me to think about. It’s about being pragmatic, and it’s about making the right selection for each game.”

Meanwhile, Rosenior says Matty Jacob’s new contract is nothing more than the 22-yearold defender deserves.

Jacob, who joined City at the age of nine, has penned fresh terms on a three-year deal with the option of a further 12 months which is a reward for his recent displays.

“I’m really pleased and it’s thoroughly deserved,” Rosenior told the Mail. “Matty is somebody again who epitomises the culture and the values of what we set.”
