Hull Daily Mail

How Hull’s stars rated...

-

TEX HOY: The only Hull player to show any life in attack. Finished his try well and saved one at the other end with a good tackle on Zak Hardaker. Made a break in the second half and kept going, albeit to little avail. 4

DARNELL MCINTOSH: Dropped a high kick early on and struggled to get going. 2

CARLOS TUIMAVAVE: Off the pace and left the field with a hamstring injury after Leigh’s third try. 2

LIAM SUTCLIFFE: The centre had one or two early openings, but that was as good as it got. 2

LIAM TINDALL: His first involvement saw him step into touch when dealing with a Leigh kick. It didn’t get much better. 2

MORGAN SMITH: Tried to link with the left edge, but Hull had no shape to work off. 3

FA’AMANU BROWN: No shape, no direction, and for a hooker stepping up as a half, it’s always going to be a tall order. 3

HERMAN ESE’ESE: One of Hull’s brightest, but still part of a wellbeaten side. 4

DANNY HOUGHTON: His 400th Super League appearance turned into a nightmare team account. 3

LIGI SAO: Fell off some tackles and struggled throughout. 3

JAYDEN OKUNBOR: Left the field early on. Came back late in the game. 2

NICK STAVELEY: One or two strong carries, but also not helped with a pass to his knee in the second half. 3

JORDAN LANE: Can hold his head higher than others. Started at loose forward but was moved to the back row early on. 3

FRANKLIN PELE: Sin binned for a late hit on the passer. There has to be more to come as he settles into the side. 3

CAM SCOTT: Thrown on after Tuimavave’s injury and was helpless to prevent the Leigh onslaught. 2

JACK BROWN: Came on when Hull were already getting mauled. A couple of offloads, but like everyone in Black and White, he couldn’t turn the tide. 3

WILL GARDINER: Entered the pitch in the second half. Game was gone. N/A
