TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847 ORDER FOR THE PREVENTION OF OBSTRUCTIO­N IN STREETS GUILDHALL ROAD, KINGSTON UPON HULL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council have today made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 for the purpose of preventing obstructio­ns in the length of street in the City of Kingston upon Hull hereinafte­r mentioned on the occasion of a Local Election Ballot Count, on 2nd May 2024. The Order:(a) prohibits any person (except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform) from driving, riding or propelling any vehicle or causing or permitting any vehicle to wait in or on the full length of Guildhall Road, both parts, Kingston upon Hull, between 3pm to midnight on the 2nd May 2024,

(b) requires any person directed or permitted by a police constable in uniform to drive, ride or propel a vehicle or to cause or permit a vehicle to wait on or in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to obey the directions of the said police constable and of any other police constable in uniform, and

(c) requires all persons present in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to comply with the directions of any police constable in uniform.

The purpose of these closures is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during a Local Election Ballot Count.

The Order does not apply to fire brigade vehicles, ambulance and police vehicles.

The penalty for an infringeme­nt of the Order is a fine upon conviction not exceeding Four hundred pounds.

PRESTON ROAD/RYEHILL GROVE/ST JOHNS GROVE AREA (PROHIBITIO­N OF WAITING AND LOADING PLACES) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictio­ns at various locations in the Ryehill Grove/exeter Grove area, at junctions and on narrow roads where parking would obstruct access. New double yellow lines are also proposed on both sides of St John’s Grove to the east of Trinity Grove to improve access to and from the unadopted road opposite property number 13 St John’s Grove.

It is also proposed to introduce a loading bay on the north side of Preston Road, in the layby to the west of Ryehill Grove, to facilitate deliveries to the nearby shop.

MITCHAM ROAD/BELLFIELD AVENUE (PROHIBITIO­N OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The effect of the Order will be to install new double yellow lines at the junction of Mitcham Road and Bellfield Avenue. The new yellow lines are proposed on both sides of Mitcham Road for a distance of 39 metres from the junction, and on the north side of Bellfield Avenue for a distance of 15 metres either side of the junction.

The purpose of the Order is considered necessary to facilitate traffic flow and ensure access to the new Limetree Court developmen­t.
