Protect your photos with watermarks
1 Select the photos
Open Photos and find the photographs you want to watermark. Cmd+click each one to select multiple images, then go to the File menu and select Export>export photos.
2 Resize the images
Original photos are often too large for sharing on social media and blogs, so configure the export options to reduce the size. It is important not to share original images.
3 Import into Photobulk
Open the Photobulk app and then open the folder you exported the photos to. Select all the photos (Cmd+a) and then click and drag them to Photobulk to import them all.
4 Click and drag
Tick the Watermark box in the top-left corner and then find ‘Text’ on the photo. Click and drag it to the place you want the watermark and drag the corners to resize it.
5 Choose text options
Double-click ‘Text’ and then replace it with your own watermark message, like a copyright notice. Click the font in the watermark tools panel and select the font to use.
6 Pick a colour
Bold and italic text can be selected in the font list and there is an underline button. Click the colour tile to open the system colour chooser and select the colour to use.
7 Set the opacity
Watermarks should not dominate the image and they can be small, faint and almost invisible. Drag the opacity slider down to 30% or even 20% to make the text see-through.
8 Check the photos
The watermark is applied to every photo, so check that it can be seen on all of them. You might need to move it or change the colour because it clashes with some images.
9 Save the photos
When you are happy with the watermark, click the ‘Start’ button in the bottom-right corner and save all the images. It is useful to create a new folder to store them in.
